GAIL (India) Limited, a Navratna Company and one of the successful PSU under Ministry Of Petroleum & Natural Gas had under CSR project considered to have a major disability support project in their important area of operation at Vijaipur, Dist. Guna (M.P).

In 2010-2011 they along with the co-ordination and co-operation of Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust at Madhya Pradesh implemented the project benefiting 519 physically disabled people by providing Mobility Aids and Appliances in addition to Hearing Aids to the hearing impaired.  The 2010-2011 program was so successful that the local Govt. Authorities and senior management at Vijaipur, Guna desired to continue project for 2011-2012 with an objective of making the whole area disability free and to create an impact on the society aiming at the betterment of the disables in that area who can live a life of dignity and self-respect in their family as well as the community.

Under Project the taken up for FY-2011-12, total 2141 appliances were distributed  in Raghogarh block of Dist. Guna and the project was very successful and greatly beneficial to the rural community there, changing the life of thousands of people and physically challenged bringing them into mainstream of the society.  Wheel-chairs, Tricycles, Calipers, Jaipur Foot and Hearing Aids were distributed for a period of 8 days continuously with the help and support of many volunteers from GAIL.
