| A total of 539 beneficiaries availed
of the free rehabilitation assistance. All are
now mobile and able to lead near normal lives.
Of these nearly 140 children
and adults received spanking new wheelchairs.
Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust had taken one
of its fully equipped and manned Mobile Orthopaedic
Vans from Mumbai.
Trained and experienced technicians in the
van fitted Callipers and Jaipur foot prosthetics
within a matter of a few hours.
It was an historic event as no such project
has ever been implemented in these sensitive
areas before.
