Under their CSR programme GAIL ( India ) Ltd, Vijaipur provided support for a 3 day mobility camp in Guna to provide assistive devices to the physically handicapped and thus make them mobile.
The camp was inaugurated by the District Collector of Guna and implemented by Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, Mumbai.
During the camp the polio affected were provided with custom made calipers, amputees
got a made to measure Jaipur foot artificial limb and crutches, tricycles and wheelchairs were given on a need based assessment.
The camp had a limited mandate in terms of time and financial commitments and provided assistive devices to 519 physically handicapped as per date wise statistics given below:

In his inaugural address the District Collector appreciated the efforts of GAIL ( India ) Ltd in Guna, an area where over the last many years not much rehabilitation work has been done.
He also hoped that a similar project of a much larger magnitude would be organized in the coming year to rehabilitate the disabled-details of which are available with the district social welfare officers.
The CSR officials of GAIL ( India ) Limited, Vijaipur were happy with the implementation of the project by Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust and assured full co-operation in future projects. |
